Colourful Seashells in Watercolour and Gouache

A while back I did a rough little sketch with watercolour in my little travel art journal that I really enjoyed making and recently wanted to try painting it on some good paper.

I got my inspiration from the photograph here below but as I was sketching in my travel art journal I naturally went for a multi coloured version and kept with it in the final piece.

For the final piece I used Sennelier 300g cold press watercolour paper 21 x 29 cms.

Following this I then attempted another with pink seashells inspired by the following photo:
