    Discovering Baya Mahieddine’s iconic art

As I write this I am grateful for friends of a kindred spirit like Leigh, especially at a time of extended isolation and where friends I thought were friends have all but slipped away. This form of imposed isolation has shone a light on what is true and important, false and unnecessary, genuine and, well, what isn’t.

    Portrait Painting: Despoina

This was a commissioned portrait painting. I was so excited to unveil Despoina’s portrait to her. This painting was also a sidestep away from my regular work as I applied a style I’ve been playing with for a while plus a shift to oils on canvas.

One of my favourite projects to date! This was a custom order [actually for my daughter as she was decorating her balcony in preparation for summer and she wanted something colourful to complement her tropical plants, which she is partial to. Welcome to my Creative Portfolio!

Welcome to what is my creative portfolio. This is my world of bold and colourful art and design expressed through a multitude of mediums and creative outlets. From artwork, to surface patterns, designs, handicrafts such as embroidery, painting on furniture, ceramics and figurines. Add to that my love of photography and languages and, well, you get the picture….

I count myself lucky to have my own home studio in the southern suburbs of Athens close to the sea, where I can immersive myself and disappear into my colourful world. I hope you enjoy your visit and that I may have perhaps inspired you to create something too!
