Dancing Octopus
Octopus have made several appearances in my artwork over the years. Intentionally, or otherwise, this amazing almost alien-like creature has captured my attention, and fascination. So much so that I have stopped consuming them (marinated and grilled octopus are a delicacy here in Greece) and am happy to say that I have inadvertently influenced others likewise!
No doubt most of you have by now seen ‘My Octopus Teacher’ on Netflix, one of the most beautiful and moving documentaries I have ever seen where a filmmaker forges an unusual friendship with an octopus. The documentary shows us a fascinating perspective of the octopus’ world and how much we can learn from these incredible creatures. If you haven’t yet seen it I thoroughly recommend it!
